New High-efficiency Gas Furnace Program

Help Your Customers Save On Energy-Efficient HVAC Equipment

The HVAC programs provide financial incentives for the installation of new high-efficiency gas furnaces in the homes of Ameren Illinois gas customers and new high-efficiency central air conditioning units for Ameren Illinois electric customers.

The incentives are based on installation of the following equipment:

New Heating Equipment

	Natural Gas Warm-Air Furnaces	Incentive
1	AFUE Rating of 92 percent or greater	$125
2	AFUE Rating of 95 percent or greater	$200

	Natural Gas Boiler
	AFUE Rating of 90 percent or greater	$500

New Cooling Equipment
Incentive amounts are based on the SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio). New units must have a rating of 14.5 SEER or greater.

	Central Air Conditioners -- (Only new cooling units rated 14.5 SEER or greater are eligible.)	Incentive
1	New construction; no pre-existing unit; replace on failure; or replacement of an existing central air conditioning or heat pump unit (with a nameplate SEER rating of 10.1 or greater) with a central air conditioner (SEER 14.5 - 15.9)	$100
2	New construction; no pre-existing unit; replace on failure; or replacement of an existing central air conditioning or heat pump unit (with a nameplate SEER rating of 10.1 or greater) with a central air conditioner (SEER 16 or greater)	$125
3	Replacement of an operational (cooling),existing central air conditioning or heat pump unit (with a nameplate SEER rating of 10.0 or less) with a central air conditioner (SEER 14.5 - 15.9)	$250
4	Replacement of an operational (cooling), existing central air conditioning or heat pump unit (with a nameplate SEER rating of 10.0 or less) with a central air conditioner (SEER 16 or greater)	$350
	Geothermal (Ground Source Heat Pump)
1	Installation of a geothermal unit (ground source heat pump). ONLY qualifies when replacing an existing electric heat source.	$600

	Air Source Heat Pumps -- (Only new units rated 14.5 SEER or greater are eligible.) ONLY qualifies when replacing an existing electric heat source.	Incentive
1	New construction; no pre-existing unit; replace on failure; or replacement of an existing central air conditioning or heat pump unit (with a nameplate SEER rating of 10.1 or greater) with an air source heat pump (SEER 14.5 - 15.9). Must replace an existing electric heat source.	$150
2	New construction; no pre-existing unit; replace on failure; or replacement of an existing central air conditioning or heat pump unit (with a nameplate SEER rating of 10.1 or greater) with an air source heat pump (SEER 16 or greater). Must replace an existing electric heat source.	$200
3	Replacement of an existing operational (cooling), central air conditioning or heat pump unit (with a nameplate SEER rating of 10.0 or less) with an air source heat pump (SEER 14.5 - 15.9). Must replace an existing electric heat source.	$400
4	Replacement of an existing operational (cooling), central air conditioning or heat pump unit (with a nameplate SEER rating of 10.0 or less) with an air source heat pump (SEER 16 or greater). Must replace an existing electric heat source.	$600

Only contractors registered as Program Allies can offer these programs to customers. Incentives are paid directly to the Program Ally and passed through to the customer as a reduction on the Program Ally’s invoice to the customer. To qualify for the incentive, Program Allies must follow strict guidelines as outlined in the program forms.

How to Become a Program Ally
