High-efficiency Gas Furnace Program



These programs provide financial incentives for the installation of new high-efficiency gas furnaces in the homes of Ameren Illinois gas customers and new high-efficiency central air conditioning units for Ameren Illinois electric customers. The incentives are based on installation of the following equipment:

New Gas Furnace Program
High-efficiency Warm-air Gas Furnace with AFUE rating of 92% or greater—$125 Incentive
High-efficiency Warm-air Gas Furnace with AFUE rating of 95% or greater—$200 Incentive

New Central Air Conditioner or Heat Pump Program
Incentive amounts are based on the SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio). New units must have a rating of 14 SEER.

Cooling Equipment
Incentive Amount
Early retirement of an existing air conditioning or heat pump unit with a name plate SEER rating of 10 or less replaced with a cooling unit (14 SEER, central air conditioner or heat pump)

Replacement of an existing air conditioning or heat pump unit with a name plate SEER rating of greater than 10 with a cooling unit (14 SEER, central air conditioner or heat pump)
$110
Ground source heat pump
$600

Right-sizing or down-sizing to 100% of Manual J*
*Manual J is a recognized industry guideline for proper sizing of HVAC equipment.

Only contractors registered as Program Allies can offer these programs to customers. Incentives are paid directly to the Program Ally and passed through to the customer as a reduction on the Program Ally’s invoice to the customer. To qualify for the incentive, Program Allies must follow strict guidelines as outlined in the program forms.

How to Become a Program Ally
Any HVAC company that agrees to follow the program rules and guidelines may participate, and will be listed on ActOnEnergy.com. If you wish to become a Program Ally, please complete and return the HVAC Program Ally Application.
