Act On Energy offers a Custom Incentive Program for businesses that incorporate energy-efficient design or high-performance equipment into their operations. To qualify, you must be an electric customer of one of the Ameren Illinois Utilities (AmerenCIPS, AmerenCILCO, AmerenIP), and your project application must include:
- Payback in annual energy savings
- Calculations and documentation for the estimate of energy saved
- Pre-approval from the Ameren Illinois Utilities before purchasing equipment

All projects requesting Custom Incentive Program funding MUST be pre-approved before any financial commitment is made to the project.
Note: If you wish to apply for an incentive for energy efficiency measures listed under the lighting, refrigeration, motors and HVAC programs, you MUST apply for those measures using those respective program applications, rather than the Custom Incentive Program application.
